CQP has established themselves pretty fast on the competitive sneakers market and has done it thanks to a clean design and great quality. We sat down with one of it's founders, Adam Lewenhaupt, and asked him about where he gets his inspiration from, how he likes the wear the shoes himself and which person he would like to see wear a pair of CQP sneakers.

Adam Lewenhaupt decided that in 2013 to leave is well-paid job in the finance industry and start working with something he truly wanted to do. He companied with Nicholas Bonde and so CQP was born.
I have always been a sneaker nerd since my childhood basically and at some point I started thinking about what I really wanted to do in life. Therefore I went with something that a truly felt passionated about so the choice was pretty easy.

Have you ever had any doubts a long the way and ever felt that this might not work out?
I'm a person with pretty high standards and demands regarding myself and the results on whatever it is I'm doing. So there has been a lot of sleepless nights and times were I felt not a hundred percent pleased with my performance and therefore doubted myself. But so far I've come to the conclusion that what I'm doing is working although it requires a lot of hard work and patience.
Where do you find inspiration to the shoes?
It's hard to say really. It could be a feeling I get from the design of a classic car, some cool architecture or a electronic device. There are usually a common denominator such as simplicity and a timeless design that gets me going.

Tell me a little bit more about the model Tarmac.
Tarmac is C.QPs first model and our signature model. It has many similarities with a classic sneaker silhouette but also separates itself from it by combining the look of a "chukka" with a lower sneaker model. We call it a "Quarter Top" and I think it's the perfect hybrid shoe that can add elegance to a causal look and at the same time take the edge of a something really dressed up.
How do you like to wear them yourself?
I usually wear a pair of jeans to them but it happens that I throw on a suit from time to time. I'm often looking for a type of balance when I dress; not to dressed up but at the same time not to casual.
Which person would you like to see wear a pair of CQP sneakers?
Since Oscar Arrsjö was one of our first clients its hard to say. But it would be fun to se Mr. Leonardo di Caprio wear a pair. Also Adrien Brody has a very cool style that I like. If we look at some Swedish celebs the new Tarzan, Mr Alexander Skarsgård, would be great. We think our shoes fit are made for everyone bascially.
