If the 1965 Ford Mustang is an automotive superstar, then the Shelby GT350 is a legend. Using Ford’s already incredible “K-Code” Mustang fastback as a basis, Carroll Shelby made the “it” car of the ’60s even hotter by making his version of the Mustang faster, lighter, and even more fun to drive. Five hundred sixty-two examples were built in the first year of production, and these are considered to be the most pure and desirable GT350s built in the model’s history.
This particular car, that go on auction 28-29 of January in Arizona via RM Sotheby’s, have been upgraded from its original to use in vintage rallies. A new V-8 engine was installed and gives you 313 horsepower at the rear wheels. Power steering and power brakes were also added to the car as well as an electric fan to cool down the engine.
An air condition system was also installed in this muscle car, which makes them long Sunday drives even more incredible. If you rather prefer the car in its absolute original condition all the original parts comes along, including the original engine, with the sale.
If we would to spoke our minds, this is one of our favorite cars of all time.
