From the introduction of the prototype Turbo to the latest 991 Turbo, the Turbo has always been the top model and most innovative car of the 911 type series. With only 2,880 units built between 1975 and 1977, the Turbo 3.0 liter is a much sought-after collectible today and this example is no exception. The vehicle was in an overall good condition when its current owner imported the car to Switzerland, however, it soon turned out that the clear coat was coming off in some spots and that the downtime of 18 years had led to some damages. So the car were overhauled by the Porsche expert Baumann Exklusiv. A professional with more than 40 years of experience thoroughly revised the car and used only original parts.
In the whole process the focus was on as much originality as possible, in order to keep the patina effect and to avoid an over-restoration. The engine was completely worked over, a new turbocharger was built in and the paintwork was executed by the body shop Harpers in Rümlang. The original color was completely restored, a process that took more than 6 months. The finish is one of the car's prime features and the original leather seats were worked up by the saddlery Suter on Lake Zurich. A perfect car for them long summer nights just cruising the streets of the city or why not the open roads of the country side? Either way, it's yours via Auctionata.
