Trenchcoats

Where should I not get my Trenchcoat?

You can find many garments cheap at military surplus sales but the trenchcoat is not one of them. If you find a trenchcoat there, you will most certainly be misstaken for a flasher wearing it, due to it's lenght and wide fit. Oscar Arrsjö

The trenchcoat derives from the coats that British and French soldiers wore during World war one. The father of all trenchcoats is Thomas Burberry who 1901 presented it to the British army as a raincoat. Since then it has been made in a range of variations. But the classic one is double-breasted with raglan sleeves, epaulets and a belt with D-rings. The most well known man of style wearing a trenchcoat is Humphrey Bogart.
